The Wedding Photography Education Series by Jonathan Scott, is the most
comprehensive and in-depth look at the real world of wedding photography on the market today.

About Jonathan Scott

At the age of 15, my father gifted me a Konica 35mm camera and built a darkroom in our basement. Even today, I still own that camera. My love for photography stems from the pure joy and wonder I feel every time I capture a moment in time.

Over the span of 20 years and close to 1000 events, my images have gained a reputation for the use of light and composition in displaying genuine emotions in real moments.

My career as a professional photographer took some time to take off as I worked as a fundraiser for political and charitable organizations after graduating with a degree in Economics. Subsequently, I
spent several years as a financial advisor, where I polished my sales and business skills and learned valuable lessons on how to speak to wealth. My passion for photography never waned so I spent much of my free time exploring the full potential of my camera.

At the beginning of my photography career, I specialized in high-production shoots in my 3000sqft studio in Boca Raton, Florida. I have photographed a broad range of products from jewelry to airplanes and have worked on numerous advertising campaigns and catalogs for
companies like Toyota and Isuzu, Peterbilt, and numerous clothing and furniture manufacturers. It was during this time that I honed my current lighting and composition skills.

My love for wedding photography emerged after I started shooting weddings. I found it fulfilling to be able to apply all my mature techniques
and photographic disciplines during each wedding. Also, I quickly discovered that I had a natural ability to navigate the wedding day while keeping interactions with the bride, groom, and guests fun and non-intrusive.

For me, capturing the intimacy of a wedding day is more
than just a job; it's a passion.

JSPSESSIONS is a series of virtual masterclasses designed to help photographers refine their skills in wedding photography. The topics covered in the small group live interactive sessions range from sales and contracts to technical techniques to wedding day management and artistic storytelling.

2. Who benefits from JSPSESSIONS?

These sessions are perfect for both experienced and budding photographers looking to improve and refine their wedding photography skills.

3. What topics are covered?

Session topics deep dive into the areas of: finding a creative voice, sales, marketing and contracts, wedding day management, client management, post-production, and essential equipment

4. How long is each session?

Each session is 120 minutes.

5. Are the sessions interactive?

Yes! Sessions are designed to be live with the emphasis placed on participation! The first part of the session is a lecture covering the specific topics of that session. The rest of the time is dedicated to Q&A to allow each guest to have each of their issues addressed.

6. Do I need specific equipment to join the sessions?

The sessions are designed to provide insight into techniques and strategies regardless of what equipment you own.

7. Will I receive any resource materials?

It depends on which session you are attending. You will receive and email before the session with any information you will need to effectively attend the session.
